India’s First Android Phone

India’s first Android phone was the “Aakash” tablet, which was launched in 2011. However, it is important to note that while Aakash is often associated with Android devices, it primarily functioned as a tablet rather than a smartphone in the traditional sense. The first Android smartphone developed and manufactured in India is considered to be the Micromax Andro A60, which was released in 2010. Micromax was one of the early players in the Indian market, and their Android phones helped popularize the platform in the country.
