unpair apple watch from old phone

To unpair your Apple Watch from an old iPhone, follow these steps:

1. Keep the Watch and iPhone Close Together:Ensure both devices are near each other during the unpairing process.

2. Open the Apple Watch App:On your old iPhone, open the Apple Watch app.

3. Select Your Watch:Tap on the “My Watch” tab at the bottom of the screen. If you have more than one Apple Watch, select the one you want to unpair.

4. Unpair the Watch:Tap the information button (the “i” in a circle) next to the watch you want to unpair. Then, tap “Unpair Apple Watch.”

5. Confirm Unpairing:You may be prompted to enter your Apple ID password to turn off Activation Lock. After you enter the password, the iPhone will begin unpairing the Apple Watch.

6. Wait for Unpairing Process to Complete:The unpairing process may take a few moments, during which your Apple Watch will back up its data to your iPhone.

7. Set Up as New or Pair with Another Device:Once unpaired, your Apple Watch will be reset to factory settings and can be paired with a new iPhone or set up as a new device.

If You Don’t Have Your Old iPhone
If you’ve lost your old iPhone or can’t access it, you can still unpair the Apple Watch:

1. Erase Your Apple Watch Directly:On your Apple Watch, go to Settings > General > Reset, and choose “Erase All Content and Settings.” This will unpair the watch from your account.

2. Use iCloud:If your Apple Watch is linked to your Apple ID, you can visit iCloud.com, log in with your Apple ID, go to “Find iPhone,” select All Devices, and remove your Apple Watch from your account.

Remember that erasing your watch will remove all data from it, so make sure to back up any important information if possible.
