how to record google meet on phone

To record a Google Meet on your phone, you need to follow a few steps. However, please note that the recording feature is typically available only for Google Workspace subscribers. Here’s how you can do it:

Before You Start:
1. Check Your Google Account: Make sure you have the appropriate Google Workspace account (Education, Business, or Enterprise).
2. Permissions: Ensure you have permission from the meeting organizer to record the meeting.

Recording Steps on Mobile:
1. Join the Meeting: Open the Google Meet app on your phone and join the meeting.

2. Access Meeting Controls:
Once you’re in the meeting, tap on the three vertical dots (More options) in the bottomright corner of the screen.

3. Start Recording:
Tap on “Record meeting.” A notification will appear indicating that the recording has started.

4. Stop Recording:
To stop the recording, tap on the three dots again and select “Stop recording.”
Confirm that you want to stop recording when prompted.

5. Access the Recording:
After the meeting ends, the recording will be processed and saved to the meeting organizer’s Google Drive in a folder labeled “Meet Recordings.”
You’ll receive an email with a link to the recording once it’s ready.

Note:
As of my last knowledge update in October 2023, Google Meet does not allow users to record directly on a mobile device without using the app. The recording feature is mostly meant for desktop users through browsers as well.
If you are unable to record through the app on mobile, consider using other devices or applications that can capture the screen and audio while you participate in the meeting. Just make sure to inform all participants before recording.

Check for Updates:
Always ensure you are using the latest version of the Google Meet app, as features may change, and new functionalities may be added.
